Internet media group blinkx has launched Branded Content Hubs, a new series of content-rich premium channels built on videos from networks, sports studios and more.
The advertising will be placed against the videos in each content hub and revenue will be shared between the group and its content partners.
The online entertainment company will debut its first content hub in partnership with IGN, an internet based media group, involved in gaming and entertainment.
The group expects to reveal additional content hubs with more premium partners in coming months.
Dan Slivjanovski, Chief Marketing Officer, said: ‘As blinkx continues to partner with highly respected major networks and video producers, this new offering lets us seamlessly integrate them into the blinkx platform, powering our video categories and search on blinkx.com, while still maintaining each partner’s distinct brand identity.’
As of 08:50 the share price has dropped 1.83% to 94p.
