Wealth manager Charles Stanley has announced that it has appointed Matthew Keen as Intermediary Sales Manager covering the South East, as part of its continued drive to grow its intermediary sales network.

Keen joins from Scottish Widows where he worked for nearly 10 years, most recently as regional business unit lead covering London and the South East, where he was responsible for driving development activity and exceeded new and existing business targets through active engagement of the intermediary market.  He previously worked for Clerical Medical, Finance Planning Group and Lloyds TSB.

In his new role, Keen reports to Steve Hill, Head of Intermediary Sales.  He will be responsible for sourcing new discretionary portfolios for Charles Stanley from professional intermediaries across the South East, as well as delivering client service and relationship management to existing strategic partners.

John Porteous, Group Head of Distribution at Charles Stanley said:  “Matthew’s appointment is part of our clear strategy to invest in our distribution channel.  I’m delighted to welcome him to the team to help us build our presence across the South East and to partner with and support IFA firms to enhance the services they already provide. He has a great track record in establishing key relationships, as well as nurturing existing business relationships.”
